• All teachers shall comply with the Amateur Swimming Associations Code of Ethics

• Teachers should behave in a manner that reflects the high standards expected of them

• No child should be subjected to any form of verbal or physical abuse, bullying or harassment

• It should be ensured that at all times the interests of the students are protected in terms of their safety, property and health


• Teachers must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and should not work when unfit to do so e.g. through drink or drugs

• It should be ensured that there is no breach of equal opportunities either by direct or indirect discrimination, to include victimisation, racial or sexual harassment or disability discrimination
